Default 564dam close to south Greenland

I see on this run for next Wednesday
http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/brack4a.gif that the 564dam line is nearly
touching south Greenland (right of chart), which must mean it will be quite
warm up there.

Can anyone tell me whether this is unusual or not?

Always remembering that it hasn't happened yet, I would say it is pretty
unusual. What is even more unusual, I would think, is seeing the same 564 dam
line north of the Gulf of Bothnia on the same chart.
As far as the tip of Greenland is concerned, it doesn't mean it's going
to be particularly warm, because the surface temp will be held down by the sea
temperature, which is about 12°C. Over land, with the sun out, a thickness of
564 would allow a max of about 30°C.

I guess it also depends on the close proximity of several thousand
square miles of glacier. As far as I'm aware, only the coasts of
Greenland ever 'defrost'.

Lapland's another matter and temperatures of 30°C are not uncommon.

I notice from http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Reurmett.html
that the 16.00 UTC temp for today at the station on the southern tip of
Greenland is showing it pretty warm at 19C.

Not sure if this is anomalous - most of the English stations aren't showing
up at all!
