My rain collected in my MO gauge plastic bottle had frozen this morning,
not often that happens. -8.5 C on the grass last night and -4.5 C air when i recorded. We had rain/sleet just after teatime and then we had a sharp frost. Some light snow flurries as I type. brian www.aberfeldyweather.com |

Do they still make those little paraffin burners that you could put under your car on those not all that rare frosty nights in the days before antifreeze? If you could find one in a car boot sale or an hurricane lamp or something like, then you won't get a problem like that ever again as long as you remember to keep it filled and lit. |

Though given the OP mentioned a *plastic* bottle, probably not the best idea - though you'd be right about the problem never occurring again... ![]() -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham (change 'invalid83261' to 'blueyonder' to email me) |
