Solent MRSC at Lee-on-the-Solent appears to have recorded its coldest
January night since 13 January 1987 (well *almost* 22 years!). Last night's minimum there was -6.5 deg C and today's maximum to 18Z was +1.4 which is the second lowest January max since 1987. Data is from OGIMET (derived from the NOAA Global Summary of the Day). Here in West Fareham I recorded a minimum last night of -7.9 deg C and a day maximum of +0.9 deg C. Currently at 20:30 it is -0.8 deg C here and still very frosty/icy although remaining snowless. Brrrrr!!!!! -- Dave Fareham |
