Default [WR] 0745Z West Moors/E.Dorset

.... glorious deeply-red sunrise - similar to the picture that was in
the original "Observer's Book of Weather" if anyone has seen it!

The *pavements* etc., are still completely covered in hoar frost (and
quite tricky to negotiate), but roads OK: OAT currently +4.1°C. Little
wind. Dripping water off the roofs as frost melts.

Seen both Martin. In the morning I'm in a room that faces west, so I miss
whats going on in the East! Was quite a sight - wish I went further to get a
better view, but there are limits in a dressing gown and slippers with frost
on the ground!

.... a wind of at least F3 by 09Z has helped to distribute the warmer
air down to the surface, and within the past 30 minutes, all hoar
frost has melted.
