-2.7C, max temp today -1.4C, min -6.5C, calm, total snow depth after
3(?) nights 120mm, sky, when I went to collect my bread, was blue with some grey low cloud and some dark grey above, sky now completely overcast. The gritter went up through at 0805, but the road is still totally snow-covered. No traffic, no pedestrians except 1 solitary dog-walker opening up the church. Never mind: there's always bread! Since noon the S side of the house has been in bright sunshine, and the snow that was on the thatch has started to thaw. Probably just in time to freeze solid this evening. I think it must have migrated your way. This morning it's high cloud, and my AWS, or its software, has gone haywire. It's reporting temp max/min today 3.6/-1.0, this month 2.2/0.0. I've turned it off for now, I'll leave it half an hour and try it again. The software is in the house, naturally, so it can't have been affected by the cold. So I don't know where I'm to, as they say in these parts. Hugh -- Hugh Newbury www.evershot-weather.org |
