Default And the signature for February is...

More cold weather to come for the rest of the month - not my forecast
but a lady from the Met Office on the 6pm national news, ties in with
Will's predictions then ;-))

Cheers

I saw that and was rather surprised to hear her say it.
There was the usual stuff about 5 days being the max for a reasonably
detailed forecast, but they usually keep shtum about ranges longer
than that, on prime time media at least!
Are they *that* confident that the remainder of February will be cold
or has somebody gotten caried away with themselves and subsequently
recieved a roasting?

Seems to fall in line with ECMWF with northerlies or northeasterlies
continuing to the bitter end of the run. GFS sits on the fence waving
from one side to the other.

If Joe B is to be believed we have yet to experience the peak of this
cold snap - certainly with regard to temperature...
