Just curious if anyone here would know why the temperature on my Vantage
Pro 2 goes out of whack, especially during damp weather. It usually starts registering a temp around -36, sometimes for hours on end (summer and winter). Other times it goes to the other extreme up to +70 C. The humidity and wind chill also go out. All other functions are fine. I changed the batteries to no effect. Any ideas? Thx .. -- We must change the way we live, or the climate will do it for us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oCYW4ScUnw |

If it is a wireless version then the damp air could be affecting reception.
Have you tried moving the console? Also check that the ISS reception is over 95% during these times. If it is then it is a sensor as opposed to a reception problem. Very likely that you have a faulty T/H sensor. Contact your supplying UK dealer for support. (Was it us - can't really tell with your nom de news?) John Dann www.weatherstations.co.uk |

I'm in Canada (this is the only active usenet group that I can find that discusses weather stations). I moved the console and the problem continued last night. Today was bright and sunny and beautiful so no problem. Can the sensor be replaced easily or will I have to replace the entire unit? I've gotten the replacement sensor but it came with no instructions. I've searched online for a manual/instructions but came up with nothing. Do you have a link that can help? It's a Vantage Pro 6152 and the replacement is 7346.029 temp/hum sensor. Thx! .. -- We must change the way we live Or the climate will do it for us. |
