And here in the Otter Valley, Devon
Total for year so far = 216.5 mm Jan = 122.4 mm Feb = 53.6 mm Mar = 40.5 mm Ground now quite dry, only 0.6 mm since the 10th of March. The garden and allotment need watering and my water butts are getting low. There have been 53 days so far this year on which no rain has fallen, last year only 37 days were dry (1 Jan - 26 Mar). Looking at the forecasts it seems that we are heading into another lengthy dry spell. ________________ Nick. Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
