I've always intensely disliked Richard Curtis since he humiliated poor
Margaret Beckett in one of the episodes.

There was some line spoken at the Parish meeting where someone says
something like

"She was a ugly as Margaret Becket" to which the ever so hilarious response
was "No one is as ugly as Margaret Beckett"

Oh how funny and right on the BBC is on every topic bar nationally broadcast
personal humiliation how good about her self must Margaret Beckett have felt
that night. Ant the PC brigade fussed about Jade and Miss Shelpa Poppidum ,

Sorry OT but you did mention Curtis's monster the Vicar of Dibley and I can
never forgive the man for his cruelty and the BBc for allowing it,

I have to agree with you about that Lawrence :-)

For me the "Vicar of Dibley" is yet more Thatcherite propaganda
upholding the principle that you should kick a man when he is down. At
least the PC who beating up the cripple thinking he was a Climate
Protester did not do that! Why make a mockery of Christianity using
our licence fees when Richard Dawkins can do it for free, and earn
huge sums doing it?

Cheers, Alastair.

It's on again Sunday 12th at 3.30pm.
It's all a bit Cbeebies as usual, but there's some nice viewers' photos. Why
they waste 5 minutes on gadgets which are nothing to do with weather I've no
idea.

Is there a Paint-Drying Channel? That would be more informative.

Well, exactly. I had hoped that my irony had been signposted
sufficiently clearly, but apparently not (for one or two).
