The end of the working week will see warm southerlies over much of the UK,
although by Friday frontal systems will be moving in from the west in
association with a trough. It's likely all areas will see cooler, wetter and
windier weather into the weekend.

The UK lies under southerlies, with a weak trough over Scotland and Northern
Ireland. The trough moves eastwards on day 6, with southerlies and SW'lies
over the UK. Southerlies persist on day 7 as low pressure fills to the west
of Scotland.

Southerlies cover the UK, with a high to the east and a low south of
Ireland. The low deepens into a trough and moves eastwards on day 6,
bringing WSW'lies for all. WSW'lies persist on day 7 as a ridge builds to
the SW.

Good. SW'lies are so much more preferable than anything even slightly
Easterly -- at least we'll have clearances between fronts. Won't we?
