Default Dull again!!

I had a mate in Stoke when I was at Univ. and no kidding whenever I went
there it was always cloudy.
Chin up, only another 7 months to wait till winter :-)

That reminds me of when I was doing a post-doc research job and I used to
have to travel up to Manchester quite a lot to the UMIST. The couple of
dozen times that I went it was either pouring down with rain or cloudy, and
it was always freezing cold, even in summer. Now I am sure Manchester's
climate is lovely but for once I thought, it would have been nice to have
seen the City without getting soaked and chilled.

11:00 at Manchester Airport: 11°C, light rain showers.

Oh well, I must I have been very unlucky with the weather there.

I've never known it to be freezing cold in summer Nick. Bit chilly on
occasion perhaps :-)
Manchester is very mild compared to the upland areas surrounding it, which
can get properly cold.

+8.5C ATM here in Haytor at 1230, you'd hate it! :-)

And I suspect it is howling a hooley too? It's a bit on the breezy side down
here.

I was thinking yesterday how everything seemed to catch up quickly, i.e.,
the spring. Things seem quite advanced now. The silver maple tree in the
garden is now in full leaf, that's over a week earlier than last year. Also
the bluebells seem to be a little earlier than usual and have been at their
best for a while now. The may blossom in the lane has been out for well over
a week, so now I can cast my clouts with impunity.

Cheers for that sobering thought Will

At least we had over 4 hours of sun today which is 4 hours more than the
last two days!
