Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Wednesday.
Issued 0501z, 25th April 2009. The middle of the week will see a col giving way to southerlies, with increasingly warm conditions over the UK. Western areas are at risk of rain, but it'll be largely dry in the east. ECMWF: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da...mwf/ecmwf.html A col covers the UK from days 5 to 7. MetO: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da...ukmo/pslv.html Weak ridges cover Scotland and the Celtic Sea, with much of the UK undewr a col. On day 6 a trough moves eastwards, bringing a mixture of southerlies and SE'lies. GFS: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/pslv_frame.htm Southerlies cover Scotland and Northern Ireland, due to a trough. Elsewhere winds are light due to a col. On day 6 a ridge moves over Ireland and NW'lies affect the UK. By day 7 the ridge crosses England and Wales, with southerlies for all.
