Is it me, or is the drivel on this newsgroup getting worse?

I don't think it is you, Will. This newsgroup seems to be fading.

The crossposts, which we now seem to get in increasing numbers, don't
help.

Well, it's up to us to make sure it doesn't.

After the quite cloudy and cool weather at the weekend and the beginning of
the week, the last few days have felt more like the 2nd half of May.

Sunshine levels are starting to recover too after falling right back, now at
105 hours.

The forecast models all seem to be hinting at something settled and warm for
southern areas. Maybe this May will end hot and sunny.....

I'd suggest that the cross posts are a big culprit too. If you want a
vendetta then fine, but pursue it in private - it's totally tedious to
most people and often completely counterproductive to promulgating
your point of view, whatever that might be.

Aye, it has got quieter as far as posts that contain prose that is
interesting to read are concrened. I find that many of the times I look in
here most of the posts are [OBS] which I find rather tedious so just skip
them and any follow ups. So if any prose starts life in an [OBS] thread
it'll pass me by.

The kill file solves most problems and makes u.s.w. a much more pleasant place.

Hi Nick, with great optimism I have just issued my weekly Dartmoor forecast.
You'll like it!

I generally find that posts complaining about the content of other posts
doesn't really improve things either.
