managed 3.4 mm of rain, but the cloudy conditions for most of the day kept
the temperature back to a coolish max of 18.4°C.

Despite today's coolness, the mean temperatures for this month are now in
+ve territory, with the greatest anomaly for the daytime max temperatures.
With warm or even hot weather forecast for next week and maybe beyond, this
June should end up much warmer than average and continue a trend of monthly
+ve temperature anomalies, with this month being the 5th consecutive month.

Sunshine is starting to recover after the dull and cool spell earlier in the
month, sunshine now stands (1st - 16th) at 121 hours.
