Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Wednesday.
Issued 0545z, 20th June 2009. NE'lies will affect much of the UK midweek, due to a high to the north or NE. Western areas as a result will be warmest and will see the most of the sunshine. ECMWF: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da...mwf/ecmwf.html NE'lies cover the UK on days 5 to 7 as high pressure persists to the north of the UK. MetO: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da...ukmo/pslv.html The UK lies under SE'lies and ENE'lies, with a high over the North Sea. GFS: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/pslv_frame.htm High pressure lies to the north, with NE'lies for the UK. Nothing much changes on day 6, but by day 7 the high retrogresses and NNE'lies move over much of the UK as a result. GEM: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da.../gem/pslv.html The Canadian run brings a ridge over the UK and a high to the NE. NE'lies cover England and Wales, with SE'lies elsewhere. JMA: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif The Japanese run shows NE'lies for all, with a high to the north. |
