.... (0655Z/25th June) onwards ... showery 'splots' from medium level
cloud; generally it's Ac str op with small gaps, but there are a couple of clumps of Ac cast wandering very slowly across, producing the rain. Just about impacting on the surface. Martin. -- Martin Rowley West Moors, East Dorset (UK): 17m (56ft) amsl Lat: 50.82N Long: 01.88W NGR: SU 082 023 |

Just about impacting on the surface. (0800Z): I think that's it now: the last few spots were around 10 mins ago. Never more than light intensity, but just enough to generally dampen open ground and make people hunt frantically for umbrellas! Odd gleams of sunshine now, and of course it has brought the RH up somewhat too. Martin. -- Martin Rowley West Moors, East Dorset (UK): 17m (56ft) amsl Lat: 50.82N Long: 01.88W NGR: SU 082 023 |

Odd drops of rain falling from residual Ac cas, and the 2 oktas of Ci in the sky look suspiciously 'incus'-like as if there was something really vigorous about - probably a good indicator of events to come later this afternoon & evening. The radarnet imagery over the past couple of hours showed a developing line of PPN, with some colour-returns suggesting something more than light intensity. Looks reasonable at the moment - not really a " Cm=9 " sky as the Ac and Cc etc., is not really showing instability (apart from the Ac cas noted above). 'Trace' of rain in gauge from earlier rain - a *measured* trace that is. Martin. -- Martin Rowley West Moors, East Dorset (UK): 17m (56ft) amsl Lat: 50.82N Long: 01.88W NGR: SU 082 023 |
