Bad light stops decorating (thank goodness) I saw the radar and was going to call a colleague in Loughton to see if they'd been clobbered. Sounds like that's the case in your part of the world ! My parents in Orpington reported 30 minutes of torrential rain (that I could see out to the SE of here as a horrible black line of cloud) that has delivered a good drenching to their garden - the cloud didn't seem to budge at all.
