I'm slightly surprised nowhere was hotter than this in the synop network: my max (Stevenson screen, open location) 31.5°C today, and for what it's worth my car thermometer was showuing 31-32°C in Reading this afternoon. Hottest day here since July 2006. That will take some beating, of course ;-) This after a min of 17.8°C here, highest also since July 2006 (only three hotter nights in the last 10 years). -- Stephen Burt Stratfield Mortimer, Berkshire |
