Today's max 30.9°C here. Stevenson screen, open site. Not often I'm hotter than any in the synop network, but that's the second day on the trot. -- Stephen Burt Stratfield Mortimer, Berkshire |

Never had 30C yet since moving here in April 2002. If we ever do (and I hope not), it will be bloomin hot elsewhere in UK for sure! Will -- |

Far too close to the sea but the 30°C has been broken on just three occasions since moving here in Spring 2005. And they were all together: July 2006 17th 30.3°C 18th 30.4°C 19th 30.8°C. With DPs around 20°C at the time, I remember it as being decidedly sticky. ________________ Nick. Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Will -- * Highest temperature I've recorded in Penzance was 29.7C on 17th July 2006, which very close to the all time high. There have been 3 nights with a minimum 19C, the warmest 19.6C on 05/08/03. (Records start 1991) I seem to remember it never dropped below 22C at Newquay that night. Driest June here since 1996. Graham Penzance |
