Much to my surprise, we managed exactly the same maximum as yesterday:
30.3°C. Not properly comparable to standard observations, of course, but comparable to my own from yesterday! Currently 21.9°C, which again is very similar to what it was 24 hours ago, and unfortunately it looks like being another sticky night here, though humidity is at least a little bit down on last night. Today's max was probably helped by an extremely sunny day: more or less continuous sunshine until after 16.00, despite being able to see cloud lurking out to the SW even in mid-morning: it just didn't encroach. From the satellite images, it looks as though Bewdley was just far enough east to stay cloud-free until late afternoon. -- Bewdley, Worcs. ~90m asl. |
