Default Watch out Ken in Copley

This situation is not a million miles away from that which gave the great
Tweed floods in 1948.
Some horrendous wet conditions today in NE England - and I know how much Ken
loves the rain!

Hi, Will,
It's horrible! Strong N wind 11C heavy driving rain
As I have just written in another post, a further 75.0mm in past 24
hours and it's still coming down, this time over a wide area!
There can't be much more left up there, surely!
212mm so far this month.
Ken

Sheesh Ken, that's some going. For comparison with a wet area - a typical
Dartmoor December would only get 210mm. Unfortunately there is still plenty
more to come, as I said it is reminiscient of the Tweed flooding situation
in 1948. I expect this may also be an extreme rainfall event too. Thank
goodness there's a warning out :-)

Take care,

Will
