This morning a light shower but looked right on course for this evening. Ended up with a mere 0.9mm. Ground here completely parched. I'm sure I must be in the Langdon Hills rain shadow! Davewww.laindonweather.co.uk A rather long low-intensity storm here. One or two c-g discharges within a couple of miles and a short period of heavy rain. Rumbling on for a full hour, though. I thought the anvil tops looked rather low for summer, more like spring or late autumn. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, NE Surrey, 556 ft. |

One thunder shower yesterday, late morning - but it didn't turn thundery until after it had passed over. -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham (change 'invalid83261' to 'blueyonder' to email me) |
