After sandcastle/grandson duty on Weymouth Beach I wandered back via
an Information board. There was a daily sunshine rainfall chart. It was too much to remember the sunshine figures BUT it was stated that the 30 year July average was 35.4mm and this July had got to 75.6mm. The 30 year annual was stated as 751mm. I may try and find out who/where records this data There was a heck of a breeze but many people wearing not too much, and quite a few in the water, which the board said was 17.2C. There were some 300 people out and about, and it was very pleasant to see. It was a good place to go for the grandson but the journey was annoyingly slow because of dire traffic R Hilton |

I have sent a message to try and find out what the current recording equipment consists of - from a photo on the site it suggests a Davis VP1 I note that the 30 year average for August is very much higher than July R |
