Default Penzance - Interesting weather type photos.

Yesteday was the 1st dull afternoon here since 10th, still managed
21.2C around 11:30.

There are some interesting photos, from a weather perspective, of
Penzance on Cornwall CAM currently.
www.cornwallcam.co.uk/

The 2nd down shows the sea breeze front, only just inland.
The 3rd down shows the stratoform cloud over the sea, the mainly blue
area on the coast, and cumulus down the spine of the Lizard, typical
of many recent days. (This is one thing often missed on cloud
predictions, these typically show the cloud lapping onto the coast,
when it often disipates a offshore, before reforming as cumulus over
the land.)

The 5th down shows how quickly the cumulus formed during the recent
fine spell, once the air hit the land. Recent sunshine figures for
Camborne have been vastly different to those on the south coast.
The bottom picture yesterday afternoon, when after what has been a
good spell of weather, it all went pear shaped.

Sunny spells & blustery today. Force 4-5 and around 19C currently
(noon)

I'll try actually writing something this time, although some people
might think my empty post more interesting.

What I was going to say, before I had the senior moment, was that with
the lack of red brick, the blueness of the sea, and the palm trees
(Torbay palms admittedly) and if you ignore the cars, phone boxes,
empty Woolworths etc you could almost kid yourself you were in St
Tropez.

(Actually IMHO St Tropez is a bit of a dump - I prefer St Ives)
