uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged. |

10.1mm rain in the 12 hours to 09:00 today, around 7mm of which fell
in a very heavy burst around 23:30 yesterday. Wind a Force 4-5 SW. Misty morning with bursts of heavy drizzle, with the sun just visible through it all at times. Not a particularly big swell, but some rough & confused sea conditions on the south coast. 1st real 'over the prom' day for a long time, the road was covered in seaweed this morning. Quite a contrast between south www.minack.com/webcams.htm and the relatively quiet north www.nci-stives.org/basiccamera.htm coast conditions. Graham Penzance |
