Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Monday. Issued
0501z, 27th August 2009. Monday will be generally dry and warm over England, with move in the way of cloud elsewhere. A trough will move across the UK overnight and through Tuesday, with rain for many. Thereafter it looks breezy and mixed, with low pressure close to the north and showery conditions for much of the UK. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif Southerlies cover the UK, with a ridge over England. On day 6 a low moves over Scotland, with SW'lies elsewhere. SW'lies affect all areas on day 7 as the low moves away to the north. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif A ridge covers England and Wales, bringing southerlies over the UK. On day 6 a trough moves eastwards, with SW'lies. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png A low lies to the west, resulting in SSW'lies. The low moves NE'wards on day 6, with SW'lies for all. On day 7 a secondary low forms east of Scotland, with strong to gale force westerlies for the UK.
