Yes, "not bad for an October weekend, at least there hasn't been any
heavy rain" would be a good comment so far.
Not a good start today (Southampton 0900 BST), they said it would be
"cloudy" in the morning but not this sort of gloom, the average
December morning at the same time would have more light than this!

Lifted to standard "cloudy" conditions by 1100 BST. Could be sunny by
1300, but am intending to head east today to stay in the warm air as
long as possible.
