WORLD TROPICAL WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS AND OUTLOOK-
NORTHERN INDIAN OCEAN (INCLUDING BAY OF BENGAL, ARABIAN SEA)-
Tropical cyclone development is not expected within 24 hours.
SOUTHERN INDIAN OCEAN (INCLUDING WEST AUSTRALIA, MADAGASCAR)-
Tropical cyclone development is not expected within 24 hours.
WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC (INCLUDING THE SOUTH CHINA SEA)-
Tropical cyclone developmen tis not expected within 24 hours.
CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC (INCLUDING THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS)-
Tropical Depression Jimena, with 30 mph (48 kph) winds, is centered 760
miles southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii, near 14.7N/167.2W, moving west at 20
mph (32 kph). Jimena will continue west over water with little change in
strength during the next 24 hours.
EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC (INCLUDING THE MEXICAN PACIFIC COAST)-
Tropical Depression 11E, with 35 mph (56 kph) winds, is centered 325 miles
south southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, near 19.2N/111.9W, moving west
northwest at 9 mph (14 kph). TD 11E will continue west northwest over water,
strengthening during the next 24 hours.
WESTERN SOUTH PACIFIC (INCLUDING THE CORAL SEA)-
Tropical cyclone development is not expected within 24 hours.
EASTERN SOUTH PACIFIC-
Tropical cyclone development is not expected within 24 hours.
ATLANTIC (INCLUDING CARIBBEAN SEA, GULF OF MEXICO)-
Hurricane Fabian, with 135 mph (217 kph) winds, is centered 700 miles south
of Bermuda near 22.4N/62.7W, moving northwest at 9 mph (14 kph). Fabian will
turn north with little change in strength during the next 24 hours.
