Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Tuesday. Issued
0436z, 11th September 2009. High pressure will slowly lessen its influence on the UK midweek. Scotland and Northern Ireland will stay under a ridge for longest, while northerlies will pick up across England and Wales as pressure falls. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif NE'lies cover most areas on days 5 and 6 as a ridge moves towards Scotland from the west. A col brings light winds to Scotland and Northern Ireland on day 7, with northerlies elsewhere from a shallow low over the North Sea. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif Scotland and Northern Ireland lie under a ridge with light winds, whilst the rest of the UK lies under northerlies. By day 6 northerlies cover all areas.
