Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Monday. Issued
0438z, 24th September 2009. High pressure will move across the UK during the first half of next week, with settled weather for most. Days will be warm, but by night it will turn chillier than normal. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif High pressure lies to the west, with NW'lies and WNW'lies for all. On day 6 the high drifts eastwards, with light winds as a result. By day 7 the high declines to the east, leaving the UK under a col. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif The UK lies under light winds due to a high over the Western Isles. The high moves eatwards on day 6, allowing easterlies and SE'lies to affect the UK. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png High pressure covers Scotland, with ENE'lies elsewhere. The high declines over the UK on day 6, with light winds for most. By day 7 the high drifts eastwards, leading to SE'lies for the UK.
