After yesterday's rather cloudy weather today was a return to what has
dominated this September so far - light winds, warmth and sunshine. Very light patchy drizzle for a short time yesterday evening which left nothing in the gauge allowing the drought to continue. All I have recorded rainfall-wise since the 4th of September is 'Trace' twice. A max of 19.5°C in the hazy sunshine this afternoon after a cool overnight low of 7.1°C. 11.0 hours of sunshine today bringing the September total to a reasonably healthy 156 hours. There's distinct possibility that this month might exceed 200 hours and if it does it could end up the 2nd sunniest month this year after June (221 hours). This month will also probably end up being the driest so far this year. Colder tonight than last night. Temperature now falling away smartly. (19:35), 13.1°C, RH 70%, DP 8.1°C, 1027 hPa (R), Wind calm. ________________ Nick. Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
