Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Tuesday. Issued
0449z, 25th September 2009. There will be a SW/NE divide next week, with high pressure to the SW and cloud likely along North Sea coasts. Temperatures will be around average by day, cool by night. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif Westerlies cover the UK on days 5 to 7, with a high to the SW. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif The UK lies under a ridge, with high pressure over Wales and westerlies for most. The high declines on day 6, with light winds for England and Wales and NW'lies elsewhere. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png A ridge of high pressure covers England and Wales, with WSW'lies elsewhere. On day 6 high pressure extends from the north, with northerlies and easterlies as a result. Day 7 sees easterlies for all with a high to the north. GEM: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif NW'lies cover the UK, with high pressure to the SW. JMA: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif The Japanese run, like the Candaian run, brings NW'lies and a high to the SW. |
