Summer continues.

After a misty start with some patchy cloud the day turned sunny and this
lead into a warm afternoon with plenty of September sunshine. In the calm,
windless conditions the sun felt hot and shade was the best place to be.

A max today of 21.8°C after a very chilly overnight low of just 5.2°C. This
was the warmest day max since the 20th (22.2°C).

The recent run of cold nights has brought the mean min temperature down a
little but both the mean min & max are still healthily in +ve anomaly
territory.

Over 10 hours of sunshine so far today, finishing figure will be around 11
hours.

A hazy, warm evening with just a light northerly breeze..

(18:05), 18.8°C, RH 65%, DP 12.5°C, 1028 hPa (R), Wind 2 mph N.

Summer certainly continues!

The same misty start gave way to an absolutely gloriously warm late
SEptember day. Gentle breezes and about 19C. Sunshine early and then
from around 11.00. By 3.00 Dawlish town centre and the beach was
heaving with late-season day trippers and tourists.

Perfick!

Yes, it was busy on the beach down at Jacob's Ladder, even though the tide
is currently neap and this afternoon it was high water, hence there was no
sand but it didn't stop the people. More like a day in early August.

The caravan sites are still pretty much full, this has been a very late
season for tourists.

And that sun is still strong enough to tan, my forehead is feeling warm this
evening, must have caught it.

In the end the sunshine was too hazy and the recorder switched off long
before sunset. Still, 10.3 hours of sunshine today, a very respectable 86%
of the total possible. Total for the month so far now stands at 176 hours.

Temperature holding up a little this evening and not falling away like
yesterday, so it shouldn't be as cold a night. Possibly caused by the slight
breeze and higher humidity.
