Mostly overcast since 09z with almost continuous rain and drizzle,
sometimes moderate, culminating in heavy rain between 1414 and
1422z, max rate 8 mm/hr at 1416z. Total rain since 09z 2.4 mm (TBR).
Slow wind veer from 220 at 1315z to 350 at v1420z. Cloud has
started to break and develope since 1430z.
Max temp so far 14.8 at 1456z.
Conditions seem to have been much worse than expected this morning
when the rain/drizzle started, vis falling to below 2000m and cloud base
to 500 ft or below. I saw several light aircraft at very low level circling
around near the M4/A329M motorway junction, presumably searching
for navigation clues from the motorway signs.
