Default Today's model interpretation (12/10/09)

Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Friday. Issued
0432z, 12th October 2009.

The end of the week will see high pressure moving across the UK, bringing a
settled spell for all and the possibility of frosts inland.

ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif
NE'lies and northerlies cover the UK as the result of a high over Scotland.
The high declines over the UK on day 6, with light winds for all. By day 7
the high lies over the North Sea, with ENE'lies for England and Wales and
SE'lies elsewhere.

MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif
Northerlies and NNW'lies cover the UK due to a high to the NW. The high
moves eastwards and declines on day 6, leaving most areas under light winds.

GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png
A large high covers Scotland and Northern Ireland, leading to northerlies
elsewhere. The high declines and moves southwards on day 6, with a ridge for
England and Wales and SW'lies across Northern Ireland and Scotland. WSW'lies
cover the UK on day 7 as the declining high moves over France.

Moderate to strong NNW'lies cover the UK, which lies between a low to the
east and a high to the west.

The Japanese run brings a large high and light winds for most.
