YoWindow's use of mm of mercury as the unit of pressure is a bit bizarre and takes me back to my school physics in the 60s. Martin |

Martin If you go to the screensaver settings, you can choose your units (plus many other settings). Had me wondering at first too! |

Wow! The number of replies to this thread is amazing! Maybe because others like me do not use our phones for accessing the Net. I use mine to phone and text and that's all! Screen too small for squinting at charts etc. I prefer a PC. Will -- |

That's why I use an iPAQ with a 3.5" diagonal screen. The phone gets used for (shock horror) talking to people, the odd text and as a modem for the iPAQ to access the net... Tempted to look at that rain radar thingy as pulling the radar page from te met office is a PITA, 200+k for an image of 50k if that... but I only have WM5 not WM6 on the iPAQ. -- Cheers Dave. |

Will --- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Catch up Will! :-) I use my mobile for accessing weather details at least as much as my PC. But as I'm out the office and away from home a fair bit, that's partly the reason. Just about anything I access on my PC though I can get on my mobile including radar, charts, discussions, the webcam up the road, roadside traffic weather etc, etc.. On the small side, yes occassionly, but zoom works a treat on most things. As for apps, still waiting for some really good ones, the States are light years ahead of us. David Mitchell. Langtoft.
