A warm and generally sunny day even though the forecast was for cloud and
drizzle, especially this afternoon.

Felt more like early September with a max of 18.3°C after an overnight
minimum of 12.1°C.

The warm days since the 20th have helped push the mean daily max for this
month to 16.1°C, and the overnight mins are heading towards +ve anomaly
territory too despite a long run of cold nights around mid-month.

Sunshine has suffered at times but has recently recovered and is now well
past the 100 hours' mark with 107 hours.

Unlikely to be as sunny as October 2008, but will certainly end up being a
lot warmer and drier.

Another warmish night ahead even with it being calm and fairly clear.
