I went into Guildford today to do some shopping. It was a grey day,
though very mild. I went into M&S around 1:30. I was only in there for fifteen minutes, but when I emerged I was astonished to find that it was a beautiful sunny afternoon. The blue skies did not last all that long, and within a couple of hours it was overcast once more. -- John Hall "Do you have cornflakes in America?" "Well, actually, they're American." "So what brings you to Britain then if you have cornflakes already?" Bill Bryson: "Notes from a Small Island" |
