I was just reading that. Since when is -2 C "very cold" ? I remember
when pop bottles froze and burst if you filled them up with water and left them outside. |

Keith (Southend) Tricky to comment on this one without getting into politics, but I've thought for some while that critical infrastructure such as this is simply not appropriate for a "just in time" mindset. In any case, 48 hours (as mentioned in the BBC article) seems far too slow a response time given that snow/ice events in the UK can become serious with very little warning. -- Bewdley, Worcs. ~90m asl. |
