Thanks for that Keith - the IR animations for Scandinavia show the push of deep cold air pushing down (As Will forecast!!) and hence the rapid plunge in temperatures. Brussels and Paris also getting chilly, with maxes of 0.0 and 0.8 respectively. The last few days have shown just how quickly the continent can cool down once the Atlantic feed is cut off, even without any advection of really cold air from further east or north. Still somewhere to go before any advection will have a marked affect.
