Looks like Fridays my best chance for snow, as cold as it gets atm,
with a keen ENE wind picking up showers off the North Sea. Hopefully
that wind will bring the ddep cold air over us so it can get a hold.
The weekend still looks just bright/dry and frosty to me in the SE.
Not worth looking any further at this stage, but i now seem to be in
the 530+ DAM regime. :-(

The 0Z GFS was a mild outlier, but all the models have been hinting
for sometime that the initial cold air, advected from the east, would
be replaced by a mild North Westerly [mild relatively speaking].

It looks like the 06Z GFS is also a mild outlier, in the medium term
at least. Hauptlauf is the operation run isn't it?
