uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged. |

A number of parents remarked to me this morning that the air "felt
like a ski resort". I must admit that it does indeed feel really dry and a distinct lack of frost - as you get in the mountains. What are the typical dew points around the South East at the moment - it "feels" like it has dropped through the floor! |

Yes, I love this sort of weather and how it has dried everything so quickly. Keith (Southend) http://www.southendweather.net "Weather Home & Abroad" |

Keith (Southend)http://www.southendweather.net "Weather Home & Abroad" Hope this drier air is heading west towards Hampshire, still very murky and damp - though at least it's seasonably cold. Day-gloom eased somewhat just before 10am but has returned in the last hour or so. Nick |

Round here it feels like a cold sponge... ![]() -- Paul Hyett, Cheltenham (change 'invalid83261' to 'blueyonder' to email me) |
