16cm of snow lying this morning in Maidenhead.
I have to go back to January 1982 for a greater depth when 17cm was reported in nearby Hurley. For December only, Hurley records show a depth of 19cm on 12 Dec 1981. On 30 Dec 1962 8 inches was the depth at Hurley while 1-3 Jan had 7 inches lying each morning. So this morning is up 'with the best of them' since depth recorded started in 1961. Roger |
