And this time there's no doubt about it: "bitterly cold" was absolutely
appropriate for today, especially in the afternoon which was much cloudier than expected. It was an unfortunate day to have to stand on station platforms (many of which funnel wind horribly) wondering when/ whether the driver of the next service would get up from Northampton! Max today 0.7°C; currently -1.1°C. No snow at all - judging by my train travel, west-central Birmingham seems to have been the extreme westward limit of that; there was a reasonable dusting around Brum Airport. -- Bewdley, Worcs. ~90m asl. |
