Default BBC News - Swans raise white Christmas hopes

An increase in the number of swans arriving at a nature reserve in
Gloucestershire could be a sign that the county will have a white
Christmas.

More than 150 Bewick's swans have flown from Russia to the Wildfowl
and Wetlands Trust (WWT) in Slimbridge.

I think it's more likely that they're reacting to the recent arrival of
very cold weather in Russia.

Just like the ones I used to know,
Where the Swans are flying,
And Bluebirds dying,
With Davy Jones.....etc, etc"
