Default 12 cm Stratfield Mortimer, Berkshire at 0900z

Deepest snowfall here since Feb 1986 (15 cm).

Rainfall equivalent (melted snow in funnel) a surprisingly high 19.3
mm. Cloud just beginning to break.

Interesting game of 'hunt the grass min' ... easy to step on the thing
in these conditions!

.... I put a couple of old FAX roll holders at either end of mine to
indicate where it is - it also deters cats from blundering into the
said thermometer :-)

Reminds me of 62-3 when v-shaped slots were cut in the end of the fax-roll
cores and stuck in the snow to support the grass min. The thermometer was at
eye level!
