Default Black Ice Accidents in West Cornwall

The black ice was really bad here yesterday evening, after some rain/
hail showers. Sadly 2 killed near Hayle in one of the many crashes in
west Cornwall. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cornwall/8427599.stm

Again, you make your decision, do I go on the road trip to see some
lights, in the cold, on minor roads....or do I stop at home. Heck,
even the first cop car on the scene slid off the road into the
overturned coach.

True - to a point

It was 8C and sunny here mid afternoon, so it was very busy out with
people enjoying the sunshine. Even at 18:55 the local weather at 18:55
(which I saw) showed a minimum of 3C for Penzance last night. This
despite the fact iwas already close to 0C

Most things in life are a calculated risk, still sad when things go
seriously wrong.
