Default [WR] Otter Valley, Devon - 28th Dec

Another bright, pleasant day keeping going what has now been 4 gloriously
sunny days in a row.

Sunshine total for the last 4 days now stands at 25 hours, bringing the
total for the month so far to just under 100 hours with 98.6 hours. This
December has been sunnier than November (87 hours) but has a short distance
to go to beat December 2008 which had a sunshine total of 113 hours.

A reasonable day temperature-wise with a max of 6.8°C after an overnight low
of -0.4°C (occurring at 03:30).

Both mean monthly mins & maxes are now well below the LTA and continues a
trend towards colder Decembers this century.

Similar here Nick. 8.5C down the short road to Teignmouth and feeling
reasonably mild. Things beginning to dry up a little People on the dog
walks saying how "much better today" it was this morning - but that
north-easterly is beginning to freshen!
