I cannot see much chance of any snow for the SE in this current so called
cold spell. Where as the BBC were talking it up earlier in the weekend, there is now very little talk of it actually happening down south. This mornings R4 forecast seemed a hurried affair with no outlook for the coming days given. So here we are again, stuck in this mild wet crap similar to November. Anyways, Happy new year to all! Regards. Len. |

Regards. Len. THe 528 DAM line will cross the south-east between midnight NYE and 6am new year's day, with rain turning to snow, according to the latest GFS - some people are going to wake up to a lot of snow. |

Regards. Len. Wait for the cold to undercut as the front sinks back south, Len. It may give you a happy New Year (A Happy New Year to you anyway, snow, or not!). Even I'm expecting some New Years Day and I have the lowest % likelyhood where I live ;-) -- Keith (Southend) http://www.southendweather.net e-mail: kreh at southendweather dot net |

This mornings R4 forecast seemed a hurried affair with no outlook for the coming days given. Later on on Thursday and perhaps into Friday seems to be the most likely time. The outlook on BBC teletext for Thursday goes for the likelihood of snow in the south, probably starting as rain in the SE. -- John Hall "[It was] so steep that at intervals the street broke into steps, like a person breaking into giggles or hiccups, and then resumed its sober climb, until it had another fit of steps."
