With an average December temperature of +0.0ºC in this part of central lowlands, frost every day for three weeks and total snow cover largely greater than 6 inches for over 2 weeks and minor roads with several inches of ice this has already been an unquestionably and definitive VERY cold period, nevermind snap or spell for at least a part of the UK. The squib was loud indeed, we'll need to wait though in order to see if it was Dynamite or Nuclear. Perhaps the shockwaves have yet to reach the Watford gap! Alex. |
